Supervision

I am a registered UKCP training supervisor and supervisor. I offer Gestalt relational supervision.

As a UKCP-registered training supervisor and Gestalt relational supervisor, I offer supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists, and therapists in training who wish to deepen their practice through a relational and phenomenological lens.

.

Exploring the Therapeutic Relationship

In our Gestalt supervision sessions, we explore the client’s story, transference and counter-transference, and the phenomenological field of the therapeutic encounter. Using creative supervision techniques such as the empty chair, we bring to life aspects of the therapeutic relationship that may be creating blockages to contact—both within the therapy room and in the client’s wider life.

.

A Multi-Faceted Gestalt Approach

Together we draw on Gestalt theory, dialogue, experimentation, and intuitive awareness. We consider how your own story may be touched by your client’s material, and explore how this shapes your therapeutic presence. This relational Gestalt supervision process supports you to develop self-awareness, flexibility, and confidence as a therapist.

.

Exploring Phenomenology and the Wider Context

Through the phenomenological lens, we pay attention to your experience of yourself and your client, integrating theory and practice. Supervision also includes exploring cultural awareness, boundaries, and the wider social and trans-generational context that informs both therapist and client.

.

Cultivating Compassion and Ethical Awareness

I believe therapy and supervision involve an embodied moral and ethical stance toward others—an attitude of equity, compassion, and curiosity. My role as supervisor is to help you identify key therapy concepts, strengthen your confidence, and cultivate compassion within the therapeutic relationship.

Supporting Growth and Reflection

In Gestalt relational supervision, we focus on “creative adjustments”—seeing clients not as defined by pathology but as creatively adapting to survive and self-stabilize. Supervision is a space to expand your capacity for reflection, to see more, see wider, and see deeper into your practice.

.

I offer supervision to qualified and therapists in training.

Sessions cost £85 for a 50 minute session.

My own supervision experience is currently with Jim Kuykendall, Ernesto Spinelli and Betty Cannon.
