Anxiety and low mood
Hypnotherapy is particularly useful when dealing with fears and anxiety, such as driving and flying. The Bridge technique looks at going back in time through exploration so as to identify the root of the fear as well as using what is known as gradual exposure therapy through visualising the fear and grading this exposure in your mind (imagination) so as to role play being in that situation safely. Furthermore if you are suffering with low mood there are techniques to use so as to help lift mood levels and thus aid well being and quality of life. Through learning self hypnosis it is also possible to learn how to do this for yourself so as to use it as an emotional “pick me up”.
This comprises of four sessions once a week and aims to help you to help yourself by enhancing your motivation and will power. Furthermore, by understanding you as a client the sessions are tailored to suit your psychology- your way of experiencing food and your eating habits so that you can feel more in control and more motivated. The aim is to reduce the amount you eat rather than go on a diet and further, look to ensure your diet is balanced and nutritious so you make good choices for the benefit of your health, body and image.
The actual therapy is through talking through your aims, and current eating patterns and by going into hypnosis to re-educate your subconscious to make the right choices you have been wanting to make yourself but have perhaps lacked the sustained willpower.
